  • 3/8" (9.53mm) thick
  • machined from 6061 billet aluminum
  • includes all necessary bolts and hardware
  • nickel-plated for corrosion resistance
  • fits Scion xA and xB
  • fits Toyota Echo

The Scion xA and xB have wider fenders in the rear than the front, giving you the room to run wider, and/or lower offset wheels in the back. Unfortunately, this also means that when you run the same fitment wheel in the back as the front, the rear setup will not be as flush to the fenders as the front wheels and tires are. Another problem many people have encountered when running the ubiquitous "Honda fitment" high offset wheels, or very wide wheels is that the inside edge of the rim will actually make contact with the welded ends of the stabilizer bar on the rear suspension arm. The remedy to these problems has been to add a wheel spacer, effectively pushing the rear wheels out, closer to the fender for flushness, and away from the rear suspension for clearance. But you are limited to a common 5mm spacer unless you plan on replacing your wheel studs to run thicker spacers.

The One Ton Garage rear spacer shims act like a wheel spacer, but instead of just spacing the rear wheels outward, they push out the whole rear hub assemblies. This increases the rear track for a wider stance, while moving the outside edges of the wheels and tires closer to the fenders, and at the same time, moving the inside edges away from the suspension. And unlike most "universal style" wheel spacers, the One Ton Garage rear spacer shims will not cause a risk of imbalance or lack of wheel stud engagement length, giving you the freedom to mount your wheels as if the rear hubs were still stock. Or you can still add a 5mm wheel spacer if you want to push the rear wheels out just a little more.

The rear spacer shim kit includes everything needed for a true bolt-on installation. Assembly is straigtforward and requires only common hand tools, and can be performed by novice, or first-time mechanics. Click on the link to the left to the installation manual to get an idea of what is involved.

Pricing is $70.00 for each spacer shim kit, and that includes FREE shipping. Also available now for those who want more safe and simple spacing, is the stacked spacer shim kit that consists of two sets of spacer shims with the correct length installation hardware, effectively giving almost 20mm (3/4 inch!) of rear wheel spacing. The stacked spacer shim kit is $135.00, and also includes FREE shipping. If you are interested in purchasing either kit, please email: van@onetongarage.com
